5 Things to do in Boston Before the Summer is Over

I can’t believe that late summer is already here. This year has seriously been flying by and I do not know how to feel about it! Regardless, taking a week long stay-cation has reminded me how amazing Boston is in the summertime. From pop-ups to rooftops, there is always something to do here when it is warm out and I think we should all take full advantage if we can.

Eat + Drink at Time Out Market - Fenway

When I was living in the Fenway area last year, they were clearly working on something big but I didn’t know what it was. Little did I know that Time Out Market was going to be the next hot spot in the Fenway area. Probably a good thing this didn’t exist when I lived around the corner because I definitely would have spent the majority of my paycheck here. If you haven’t been to a Time Out Market before, there are a few around the world but now we have our very own right here in Boston! The space features local food vendors as well as two full bars. From Union Square Donuts to fancy cocktails, Time Out Market has it all. FYI the seating scene kind of reminded me of trying to find a seat in your high school cafeteria, but obviously a lot less intimidating.

Get Ready at the Glossier Pop-Up - Seaport

If you love Glossier as much as I do then this is a must. The Glossier pop-up consists of 8 small pink shops right in the heart of the Seaport District. While the product is more or less the same throughout all shops, each one is designed differently for a one of a kind, and very insta-worthy, shopping experience. Make sure you stop by before the Summer is over because the pop-up is only here until October 💔.

Red Sox Game

This one is easy. Even if you aren’t a full baseball fanatic like me 🙋🏻‍♀️, somehow Fenway is still a magical place. I honestly am having a hard time describing why Red Sox games are so much fun in the summertime, but all i can say is make sure you sing Sweet Caroline at the top of your lungs to feel like a true Bostonian.

Rooftop Anything

There are few things as relaxing sipping on your favorite drink and catching up with friends while overlooking a beautiful view of the city during golden hour. Thankfully, Boston has a handful of rooftop bars and restaurants that are perfect for just that.

Picnic on the Esplanade - Back Bay

If you have followed along en Rose for some time now, you will know that I LOVE picnic season. I actually used to hate picnics but then I realized that a good picnic experience is all dependent on what you make of it! Pick a spot on the water like the Esplanade, make your set up as aesthetically pleasing as you want, and ditch the Wonder Bread for a French baguette, brie, fresh fruit, and rosé— and there you have it. The perfect picnic.
