5 Summer Trends to Keep an Eye Out For (and How to Wear Them!)

I think Boston decided to skip Spring and go straight to Summer, but I'm okay with that! With the change in weather it is always exciting to know what the new trends are going to be so here are 5 Summer trends to keep an eye out for this year, and of course, how to wear them!
1. Wide-Leg Pants
These have quickly become one of my favorite pant silhouettes because I think they are just so classy and flattering. From bold colors to vertical stripes and even denim styles, you can pair these pants with a basic top and look instantly 10x cooler. They may feel like a commitment at first, but they are a great alternative if you're like me and hate wearing shorts. Generally, these pants are easy, breezy, and lightweight so you can still feel comfortable when the sun is shining.
2. Square necklines
So I have never really thought too much about necklines until recently because for whatever reason v-necks and scoop necks just don't do much for me. I'm happy to discover that square necklines are both flattering, reminiscent of the summertime, and feel a bit more put together! I find that this neckline often works best on more fitted tops and dresses.
3. White Denim
Okay I don't know about you but white denim is always going to be a hit or miss. Unless this is your style, I find it kind of difficult to wear white denim without looking like the preppiest person on the planet. I found my favorite kick-flare jeans in a white denim and I was a bit hesitant at first, but I am in LOVE! They are crisp and clean, and the kick-flare and raw hem detail adds a more laid back vibe.
4. Pastel Colors
From pepto bismal pink to lilac and lavender, pastel colors are proving to be for much more than just Easter. Recently, pops of color have grown on me (I tend to stick towards neutrals) but why not branch out of my color comfort zone and throw some bright pinks in there every once in a while? One way to incorporate color in a less intimidating way is through accessories. Shoes, bags, jewelry, you name it.
Last but not least, my favorite trend of the moment: jumpsuits (and as usual, rompers)! I've written about these before but I figured why not emphasize how amazing they are. I guess this isn't really a trend since jumpsuits and rompers are pretty common nowadays, but I think it's okay to stand by because there are so many different styles to choose from.
